Terms of Service – Valorant Coaching

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Valorant coaching services offered by Koenji Coaching, Jonathan Kirsten(“we”, “us”, “our”), including 1-on-1 coaching sessions delivered by our coach(es) (e.g., Koenji), as well as any related content and community access via our Discord server. By booking a session or participating in a coaching program, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Services

1.1 We offer personalized 1-on-1 Valorant coaching sessions conducted online (e.g., via Discord or another platform we specify). Session content may include VOD review, gameplay analysis, aim and mechanics training, game sense, and strategy.

1.2 Details of each offering (duration, price, format) are shown on the booking page at the time of purchase.

1.3 Free content (such as YouTube videos or Discord channels) is provided for general information and may be changed or removed at any time.

  1. Eligibility

2.1 You must be at least 13 years old to book a session. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms, consents to the booking and any resulting payment obligation, and consents to the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may ask for proof of this consent.

2.2 You are responsible for providing accurate information when booking.

  1. Booking and Payment

3.1 A booking is confirmed once payment has been received and you have received a confirmation from us.

3.2 All prices are stated in [EUR/USD] and include [applicable taxes / are exempt from VAT under § 19 UStG – choose what applies].

3.3 Payment is processed through [payment provider, e.g., PayPal, Stripe]. We do not store your payment details.

3.4 Sessions must be paid in advance unless agreed otherwise in writing.

  1. Scheduling, Rescheduling and Cancellation

4.1 You are responsible for being on time and ready at the agreed session time (stable internet, working microphone, access to the game and, if relevant, your VODs).

4.2 You may reschedule or cancel free of charge up to [24] hours before the session start. Please contact us via [email / Discord].

4.3 If you cancel or reschedule later than this, or do not show up, the session is considered used and no refund will be issued. If you are more than [15] minutes late without notice, we may treat the session as a no-show.

4.4 If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will notify you as early as possible and offer a new date or a full refund.

  1. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers in the EU/Germany)

5.1 If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. To exercise this right, send us a clear statement (e.g., by email to [email]).

5.2 When booking, you can expressly request that we begin the service before the withdrawal period ends. If you do so and the service is fully performed, your right of withdrawal expires once the session has been completed. If you withdraw after the service has started, you must pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided.

5.3 This does not affect your statutory rights.

  1. Refunds

6.1 Except where required by law or stated in these Terms, completed sessions are non-refundable.

6.2 If you are unsatisfied with a session, please contact us within [7] days and we will try to find a fair solution. Any goodwill gesture is at our discretion.

  1. No Guarantee of Results

7.1 Coaching can help you improve, but your progress depends on your own effort, practice, and other factors. We do not guarantee any specific results, such as rank increases, rating gains, or tournament success.

7.2 Any examples of past student improvements shown on our website or social channels are individual cases and not a promise of similar results.

  1. Free Coaching Giveaways

8.1 From time to time we offer free coaching slots through giveaways or applications. Participation is subject to these Terms and the specific rules published with each giveaway.

8.2 Winners must claim and use their slot within the stated time frame. If you cannot attend, you must cancel at least [24] hours in advance.

8.3 If you win a free slot and neither attend nor cancel in time, we may remove you from our Discord server and exclude you from future giveaways.

8.4 Free slots have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred.

  1. Conduct

9.1 You agree to behave respectfully toward our coach(es) and other community members. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

9.2 You must not use cheats, exploits, or third-party software that violates Riot Games’ Terms of Service in connection with our services, and you may not ask us to help you with that.

9.3 We may end a session immediately and/or remove you from our Discord server in case of serious or repeated violations. In such cases, no refund will be granted.

  1. Recording and Intellectual Property

10.1 Sessions are not recorded unless both parties agree beforehand. If you record a session for your personal use, you must inform us first.

10.2 All materials we provide (e.g., notes, guides, training plans, videos) are protected by copyright. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own improvement. You may not resell, share publicly, or redistribute them without our written permission.

10.3 We may reference your participation or show anonymized results (e.g., rank progress) in our marketing only with your prior consent.

  1. Privacy

We process your personal data only as described in our Privacy Policy, available at [link]. This includes data necessary for booking, payment, and communication (e.g., Discord username, email address).

Appointment Scheduling via TidyCal

We use the online scheduling tool TidyCal, operated by Sumo Group Inc. (AppSumo), 1305 E. 6th St #3, Austin, TX 78702, USA.

When you book an appointment or purchase a product through our booking page, the data you enter (such as your name, email address, billing address, and appointment details) is transferred to and stored on TidyCal’s servers in the United States.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in providing an efficient online scheduling system). To ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data transfers to the US, we have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with Sumo Group Inc.

  1. Disclaimer

12.1 We are an independent coaching service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc. Valorant and all related names and logos are trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

12.2 We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of our website, booking system, or third-party platforms (e.g., Discord).

  1. Limitation of Liability

13.1 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and where mandatory law requires liability (e.g., under the German Product Liability Act).

13.2 For slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfillment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely), and only for the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.

13.3 Any further liability is excluded.

  1. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your booking is the one in effect at the time you booked. Material changes will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

  1. Governing Law and Disputes

15.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.

15.2 We are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
